Delete your account
You can delete your FollowUpOwl account in the app at Settings, then Account, then Delete account. Deleting your account also cancels your subscription, so you won't be charged again.
To delete your account without the app, email help@followupowl.com from the email on the account.
What we delete and what we keep
- While your account is active: we keep your account data so the Service works.
- If you cancel or your trial lapses: we keep your data for 90 days so you can pick up where you left off. We email you 7 days before we delete it. After 90 days we delete it, except as listed below.
- If you delete your account: we delete your data right away, except as listed below.
- Opt-out (STOP) records are kept permanently, even after an account or customer is deleted, so a person who opted out never gets texted again.
- Consent records and records of messages sent are kept for 5 years, so we can show that messages were sent with permission.
- Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require (typically 7 years).
- Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
